International cooperation

Beside organizing expert and technology transfer conferences (YU INFO and IS DOS), networking of key ICT stakeholders, Information Society of Serbia has a 6 year long experience in international cooperation through realization of European funded projects, participation in regional initiatives and co-organization of regional conferences on Information society development.

Association is among first one in Serbia that participated in TRISTAN East project, funded through Framework program 5 (FP5). In FP6, Association was a partner on 2 projects SEE Innovation and SCORE. Through realization of these projects, Association contributed to the promotion of Serbian ICT sector, gathered key actors in the area of ICT research and ICT industry and created the proposal for Strategic ICT research Agenda for the period 2008-2013. Together with other partners on SCORE project, based on 4 proposed Agendas (Serbia, FYROM, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania), the Policy Paper -  “Shaping EU-Western Balkan co-operation in the field of ICT Research & Development in the period 2008-2013: Priorities and Recommendations” was created.

Information Society of Serbia also takes an active role in regional initiatives. The Presiden of the Association is a member of the Board of SEE ICT Forum that aims to forge a closer alliance between the Governments of the SEE region and the private sector community that will have capacity to improve the ICT related business environment and provide valuable input to the eSEE and bSEE initiatives. He is also a member of Private Sector Advisory Committee of Centre for eGovernance Development for SEE (CeGD) which vision is to achieve the successful development of Information Society in South East Europe (SEE) that will contribute to the future development of European continent.
